Adult advisors play an important role in youth
grantmaking. Advisors need to strike a balance
between guiding and mentoring, and giving
youth freedom to work and make decisions
on their own. The good advisor is a a helpful
and supportive partner in the process while
still allowing the freedom youth grantmakers
need.
