    The 2008 Youth Grantmakers Summer Leadership Conference is coming soon:
The annual MCFYP sponsored youth conference will be held at the University of Michigan June 27-29.  The conference theme, I Am Only One: One Individual, One Community, One Vision, is inspired by a recent talk by Russ Mawby, founder of Michigan youth philanthropy.  For more information and the registration brochure, look at the conference site!

    Resource for students looking to start a business:
Michael Simmons started his first business, a Web development company, as an underclassman in high school. By the time he was a senior, he was netting $50 an hour, better than what most high school students earn mowing lawns or baby-sitting.
Today, he and his wife, Sheena Lindahl, both in their 20s, run the Extreme Entrepreneurship Education Corp. and visit college campuses across the country to help motivate and guide budding entrepreneurs. Learn more about the program.
