Community service projects and initiatives allow YAC members to better understand the community they serve and provide important educational and developmental opportunities while helping to fill a need in the community. Because of the many benefits of community service, the Michigan Community Foundations Youth Project Committee recommends that a YAC participate in at least one community service project each year.
