Effective, targeted marketing can help a YAC in fund development and project planning efforts, encourage organizations to apply for grants from the YAC, and encourage young people to become involved with the YAC. Recognizing the large impact good marketing and public relations strategies can have for YACs, the Michigan Community Foundations Youth Project Committee believes that each YAC should have activities highlighted in their community foundation’s annual report, as well as having a website, newsletter, and public presentation to encourage community understanding and involvement in the YAC.
